Prof Kuruvilla Pandikattu is a Jesuit priest and professor of philosophy at Jnana-Deepa Vidyapeeth, Institute of Philosophy and Religion, Pune, India. Holder of two doctorates in Theology (Topic of Research: “Advatia as the Hermeneutic Key to Bede Griffiths’ Understanding of Inter-Religious Dialogue.”) and in Philosophy (“Towards an Ontology of Symbols according to Paul Ricoeur) from the University of Innsbruck, Austria he has been specializing in dialogue between science and religion and among religions. He has got three Master’s Degrees, including one in Physics. He has attended more than hundred conferences (including 60 international ones) and organized more than twenty international conferences or symposia. He has visited more than eighteen foreign countries for academic purpose. His interests of research are: towards a viable technological future, science-religion interfacing, inter-religious dialogue and theory of chaos. Author of twenty three books (including eleven edited ones) and more than 60 academic articles, he is a weekly columnist to Financial Chronicle, one of India’s leading newspapers. His elaborate news and articles have appeared in Times of India, Indian Express and four other newspapers. |
